Imprinted Concrete Paving
Architectural Coloured Concrete

With over 25 years of imprinted concrete experience, Duron's process of installing decorative concrete results in an attractive long lasting addition to any home or commercial property. Designed to endure the extreme's of Canada's harsh northern climate, the variety and versatility of Duron's decorative concrete offers endless possibilities and includes a comprehensive guarantee against deterioration and salt application.
Since Duron introduced imprinted concrete to Ontario in 1975, we have improved upon the original procedures developed in the southern United States to produce concrete which has both the elegance of natural stone and the durability to withstand our tough Canadian winters. The natural stone and brick patterns, dozens of colours and the inherent economy of concrete combine to produce a landscaping feature which is ideally suited for patios, walkways, driveways and pool decks.
Duron's process of installing decorative concrete begins with the use of high strength concrete with an integral colour (mixed throughout the entire slab). Our high strength 32 MPa (4,600 psi) concrete meets the Canadian Standard A23.1 Type "C-2" requirement (the same standard used by municipalities and transportation departments across Canada). Our integral colouring process protects the freeze thaw durability of concrete and results in full slab colouration that last for decades (even when chipped and in high wear areas). Our concrete is so durable it can stand up to the toughest of Canadian winters with as much salt application as you desire.

Literally hundreds of colours are available to meet any colour scheme desired from black to white through red to brown. There are also dozens of patterns available in every size and shape imaginable. The following are the most common patterns selected:

St. John's
Slate

Toronto Brick
Basket Weave

Toronto Brick
Herringbone

Prairie
Fieldstone

Old Montreal
Fan

Vancouver
Cobblestone

Canadian
Flagstone

Combinations of patterns can be used throughout a project for variety and end-use reasons. Patterns like Canadian Flagstone, Prairie Fieldstone and Toronto Brick are relatively flat and are ideal for patios, pool decks and driveways. St. John's Slate, Old Montreal Fan and Vancouver Cobblestone have much greater texture and are ideal for walkways and entrances. Of course, the choice is always yours!

Whether large or small, each project is installed by our full time staff of skilled cement masons to meet the rigid Canadian Standard requirements and is fully tested by an independent laboratory to ensure the highest level of quality. Don't buy into the "lure" of cash deals for this type of product. This is a premium product which should last a lifetime if constructed properly. If your contractor is not willing to guarantee your project fully against surface defects, then ask yourself this question: Do they really care about the durability of my project or do they just want to make a fast buck? (Make sure that you always receive a written guarantee).
