Treatment Results:
Treatable Materials: Concrete floor surfaces
Limitations:
Retro Plate 99 must be applied to structurally sound concrete
surfaces. Soft, carbonated or structurally unsound concrete
surfaces must be removed so that Retro Plate 99 can react with
a stable substrate.
All restrictive coatings must be removed to allow Retro Plate 99
to fully penetrate the concrete surface.
Retro Plate 99 should not be applied when freezing conditions
may occur.

Retro Plate 99 is a chemical reactive concrete stabilizer which enhances the concrete density and hardness allowing the concrete to be finished to a high cosmetic marble like sheen. It is used in conjunction with the Retro Plate 99 floor restoration system for repairing floors in which:
The floor is deteriorating and dusting.
The concrete surface is dull, rough, pitted, or raw looking.
Overlays, toppings or expensive recoating is required.
A marble like, hard shell maintenance free finish is desired.
In combination with the Retro Plate 99 floor finishing system, Retro Plate 99 allows a selection of three floor finishes. These include a level 1 hard-shell satin finish, a level 2 hard-shell medium sheen and a level 3 light reflective mirror finish. Each level provides an extremely pleasing durable, penetration resistant, dust proofed marble like surface. Retro Plate 99 also provides a hardened, durable, and dense concrete surface when applied after smoothing and honing of the rough, pitted concrete or removal of soft carbonated concrete surfaces prior to level 1,2, or 3 finishing.
Applicable Standards:
ASTMC 779-Up to 400% increase in abrasion resistance,
depending on concrete quality
ASTM C805-21% increase in impact resistance
ASTMG 23-81-No adverse effect to ultraviolet light and water
spray.
30% increase in reflectivity.
Co-efficient of friction: ASTM 1028- All levels of finish exceed
OSHA and ADA recommendations for wet and dry hard
surfaces.
5gallon pails (19L), 55 gallon drums (208L)
200 square feet per gallon. Coverage depends on the porosity
and state of the concrete.
(Note: No less than 200 square feet per gallon should be
used.)
1 year Agitate before using.
None required. Use as packaged.

The RetroPlate system has created a hardened, sealed, and dust proof surface for your exposed concrete. This densified surface is very maintenance friendly. No more harsh detergents, sweeping compounds, hours of scrubbing and, of course, no more dusting, staining concrete. All that is needed to maintain the shine and seal on your floor is an automatic scrubbing machine and mild detergent.
No acidic cleaners. Acidic detergents will etch the surface over time and dull the finish. No aggressive scrubbing brushes. Stratogrit, nylogrit and other aggressive scrubbing brushes will alter the polish pattern and leave a dull appearance. Avoid all contact with acid. Avoid any detergents containing Hydroxides, or Sulfates.
Mild, neutral cleaners, even water alone, is sufficient for the cleaning. Use soft brushes on the scrubbing machine. Scrub the floor to remove dirt and debris that can collect on the surface, hiding the shine and creating a slippery environment. Spills should be cleaned up as quickly as possible. For serious spills and very greasy environments, a non-acidic D-limonene based cleaner works well, or any degreaser that meets the above requirements.
